The present study was aimed al illvtistigillhlg Hie nntioxidant activity o f leaf extracts of three important medicinal plants: Com us specious ( I hehn). I assay were compared to the standard antioxidant butylated hydroxv Itolucne (B ill I All samples showed effective scavenging activity and none of the samples exerted an obvious pro-oxidant activity. I lighesl ahlloxidaill actiVih was shown in Coccinia grandis; 0.501 ±0.003 mg ml. 1 and highest total phenolic content was shtlwil 111 II olkil'oka volubilis: 975.82+11.28 (mg/t i AI 100 g) although there is 110 significant difference between Wattakaka voltihilis and ' occinid grandis.
