Abstract

Prussian blue type compounds (heavy metal ferro and ferricyanides) doped with alkali metal chlorides are found to exhibit alkali-metal ion conducti vity. An unusual property of these systems is that the highest conductivity is obtained for K+. Ferric ferricyanide doped with KCI under optimum conditions is found to have a room temperature (26°C) conductivity of 5xlO'! ohm cm'
