dc.description.abstract	Increased requirement for diagnostic tests has posed a significant burden on the healthcare systems throughout the world as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves. The recommended test at present for a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection is the reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) performed on a relevant clinical sample. Rapid point of care molecular assays is available for use and these could accelerate the diagnostic process and help triage patients at emergency settings in the future.	en_US
