dc.description.abstract Home automation refers to the automatic and electronic control o f household features, activities, and appliances. Some components ot an automated home may include L-. centralized control o f security locks on doors and gates, appliances, w indows, flighting surveillance cameras and H V A C systems (Heating, Ventilation and A ir Conditioning M ost existing advanced home automation systems require a big and expensive change of infrastructure since majority o f them rely on wired communication. So it is requircG -- chanae the entire wiring system o f the house or wire again for the new home automatic® system. O bviously, wireless systems may be reduce the burden. And most o f the existing system s are only capable o f turn ON and OFF the home appliances but do not facilitate sc see the states o f the load in real time. The main objectives o f the research are to design asd implement a home automation system that is capable o f controlling most ot the house appliance w irelessly through a user-friendly web interface and indicate the status o f them individually w hile eliminating the necessity o f re- wiring.
